The Process
Here at Highland Galvanizers, we undertake a thorough process when it comes to powder coating. Powder coating involves a multi-step surface finish process that involves preparation, application, curing and additional stages to ensure a quality coating finish. The preparation stage includes cleaning, rinsing, etching and blasting the current surface to clear of all external elements that may interfere with a quality finish. The second stage will be the application stage where two types of powder coating materials can be applied – Electrostatic deposition or Fluidized powder coating – before finally ending with the curing stage.

Repair Procedures
Powder Coating
If you are looking for powder coat surface repairs, our specialist team at Highland Galvanizers are here to help. We are able to repair minor blemishes, scratches of defects on all products that have been powder coated either by us or another company. The area should be cleaned with a panel wipe degreaser and allowed to dry. The area should then be lightly sanded in preparation for painting. The grade of sand paper should be 320-400 grit or finer. Paint can either be applied with a brush or aerosol, with the latter providing the best finish.
