Affectionately called “Hamish” by the locals The Highland Stag was originally designed and created by world renowned sculptor Andy Scott, famous for The Kelpies, in the late 1990’s and he now stands proudly overseeing the magnificent views of the Moray Firth while competitors do battle with one of golf’s finest finishing holes, the 18th of Moray Old Course.
Since his creation he has been protected from the elements by a process known as Colourgalv, by which he is galvanized then powder coated. This will protect him for many years to come!!
