Correct Vent and Drain Hole Position on Posts
The purpose of this information is to provide specific guidance targeted at areas within the fabrication process that will lead to improvements in the finished product. It is our aim to educate and provide awareness to our customers that will save time and money by correcting potential design flaws.
Considering where to put suitable venting and drainage holes in posts prior to fabrication will lead to the best finish on any galvanized and powder-coated surface.
Good hole size and placement on any hollow section enables the item to be hung at the correct angle and provides excellent drainage, which in turn leads to superior quality.
Remember as the volume of the item increases then so does the size and/or quantity of holes required and note the minimum hole size that we will accept is 10mm.
Unfortunately the drilling of any additional holes is charged extra and may delay the turnaround on your order.
