Our Robbie, a keen cyclist proposed to his girlfriend Jackie in a uniquely romantic way after conquering one of France’s toughest mountains.
Robbie put to use all his family’s heartbreak over recent years to reach the top of Alpe D’ Huez. After cycling for 1 hour and 44 minutes he finally reached the summit.
Once there he put on a T-shirt with a message for his partner of 14 years which read ‘Jacqueline Anne McKay will you marry me?’. Thankfully she said ‘YES’.
