Technical | Methods of Coating | Chlorinated Rubber Paint

Process Brush roller or spray applied paint. System with a rubber base. High solvent content.
Strengths Excellent resistance to acids and alkalis, but not to solvents. Can be site applied.
Weaknesses Low resistance to heat (70 C). Very difficult to apply as solvent evaporates quickly making paint tacky. Very dependent on weather for external applications. Limited gloss and colour retention. Low abrasion resistance, poor impact resistance and only moderate hardness.
Durability Dependent on primers, 10 years outdoors. 5 Years in chemical environments.
Cost £30 per sqm (including shotblast and primer)
