Process Abbreviated to MIO. From Mica, a silicate mineral often used for its flat plate-like appearance, and added to paints to form small platelets in the paint that give increased imperviousness to moisture ingress through the paint.
Can be brush, roller or spray applied
Strengths Gives an impermeable waterproof coating.
Weaknesses None inherent. But used in paints that might have their own weakness, or strengths.
