Process Acrylic paint is fast-drying paint containing pigment suspended in an acrylic polymer emulsion. Acrylic paints can be diluted with water, but become water-resistant when dry. Can be brush, roller or spray applied. Typically used as internal house decoration.
Stengths Water based system easily handled. Low VOCs, easy cleanup. Good colour retention, rain and condensation resistance, and flexibility.
Weaknesses Not very suitable for external applications, and not suitable for steel (causes rust as it cures). Moderate colour retention, poor solvent resistance, limited acid and alkali resistance, limited temperature resistance to 150 C, poor abrasion resistance, moderate hardness and impact resistance.
Durability 5 years
