Colourgalv | Specifcation | Applicator Conditions

Colourgalv must be applied by a full member of The Galvanizers Association, and be an Akzo Nobel / Interpon approved applicator for powder coating on to a galvanized substrate. The applicator MUST be able to demonstrate relevant certification, and apply the coatings in full accordance with ISO 1461:1999 and BS EN 13438:2005. Full mechanical and chemical pre-treatment MUST be applied before each coating application. The galvanizing and powder coating MUST be applied by the same organisation, at the same location. The applicator MUST be ISO BS EN 9001:2000 registered.

The applicator MUST be able to offer an optional guarantee to first major maintenance of up to 25 years, environment dependent. This guarantee should cover all aspects of the powder coating performance, as well as the bond between substrates.
