Fusion Bonded Epoxy

Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE) is a thick epoxy coating applied under controlled factory conditions for such items as castings, valves, pipes and fittings. Often used in the water and oil industries for pipeline applications, FBE is tough, impervious and highly adherent protective coating. Highland mainly use Resicoat R4 (by Akzo Nobel) for this application.

Approvals for Resicoat R4 include DIN30677, DIN 3476, WRAS UK, it is approved by GSK e. V., and is resistant to gas (G260), and biogas (G262).

Applications include: Butterfly valves, gate valves, checkvalves, fittings, pumps, pump housings, ground anchors, reinforcing bar, hydrants, insulation joints and water meters to name a few.

Highland Capacity in FBE is up to 1100kg in one item, dimensions to 3000 x 4000, but one of three dimensions must be <1000mm. Masking is available, and volume production capacity exists.
