In 2012 a new office building was built on the Cumbernauld site. The founder and Chairman, Douglas Ashmead, wanted a building that people would remember and one that showcased what the company did.
Thankfully the idea of colouring every panel a different colour was consigned to the scrapheap and a more conservative design was adopted. The 35 aluminium pipes were coated in the plant utilising Highlands ‘full emersion’ pre-treatment system which will ensure that the adhesion between the aluminium and the powder layer will remain in place for years to come.
As well as being extremely eye catching it is great for directing people to the site. No-one drives past us now … or if they do they never admit it!
